Stoneleigh Holiday Village

Located near Sidmouth in East Devon, this Devon holiday park has easy access to local jurassic beach sites and fishing villages with pubs and restaurants. The park consists of self Catering brick built cottages with attractive pitched tiled roofs overlooking the sea next to the world famous Donkey Sanctuary.

Shaggy Sheep Wales

Shaggy Sheep is a Welsh Holiday site with a difference, come on, you have gotta love that name. And frankly people don't get to Wales on holiday enough. On their site they have a range of packages to choose from and some "Amazing Adventure Activities". They arrange stag/hen dos, as well as cottage breaks. We liked this site even if the sheep noises did scare us at first.

The site also has a planner that builds an itinerary for you based on your preferences. If you just want information on nearby attractions or things to do on a day out they have that as well.

You can search by location, refining your search by what you hope to do while there. The information includes photos, entrance prices, opening hours, facility details, maps and links to nearby hotels and restaurants.

Places to Visit

Pick the area you want to visit, pick what you want to see, choose an attraction and this site will provide not only information about the attraction but also the nearby shopping areas, restaurants and accommodation. It's not a beautiful site and it's a bit clunky but quite useful for planning a short break or day out within the UK.

Wordsworth Country

This site was put together by father and son Peter and David Scott with the intention to become one of the most complete sources of Cumbria tourist information. The Lake District in Cumbria is a National Park of mountains, lakes and valleys covering around 900 sq. miles. The site has maps, history of the area as a whole and the highlights of every single village, detailed travel directions, as well as photos of the numerous lakes that the region is proud of, information on accommodation, weather and food. Oh, and the section about the Herdwick Sheep is a must-read for any visitor!
